And I think Lucci was genuinely caught by surprise when Stussy knocked him out.

Them having a rematch would be good for both characters imo

If Oda were smart he'd have Smoker replace him and clash with G5 Luffy instead.
That'd make a lot more sense.
We haven't seen Smoker in a while and he's a better character than Lucci anyway, he deserves to be the one who comes back and awakens his DF and clashes with a Yonko.
Of course Oda would never do that because it'd be actually good writing in Egghead, and he seems a little allergic to that.

I don't think he retconned. I think lucci simply pretended to be an ally and it's kind of smart of him as he is surrounded by whole yonkou crew and seras.

I really, really don't like Madz after the Gokage fight. He gets very lethargic for zero reason, then he starts flirting with Hashirama, and by the time he eats the Juubi, it's been 60+ chapters of him being about as active in the story as I am.

I'm convinced he'd of thrown away Infinite Tsukuyomi if Hashirama paid a little more attention to him. He was 100% the Naruto in that dynamic.
