I don't understand how Luffy smiling/laughing AFTER Ryokugyu's departure is supposed to mean he didn't take him seriously when he left the capital and gathered all his strongest commanders watching the fight closely lol (shouldn't he have sensed that Yamato, who matched Hybrid Kaido is with Momo/scabbards?) .

Luffy simply knew it wasn’t his place to protect Wano just as Momo said. And it’s a good thing Celestial Dragon Shanks intervened or Luffy was about to witness all of his friends dying followed closely by he himself dying lol.

Depends on the context in my opinion. If Luffy was there with zoro, sanji and jinbe. No he wouldn’t. If he knows that on the same island there weaker members he would dispatch someone to deal with the YC as he can be threat to Nami, usopp, chopper, etc. Him beim worried about kizaru only proves that he is not an idiot and knows that kizaru is a threat that needs to be dealt with in an already serious situation.
We will see how they deal with Kizaru no need to discuss hypothetical situations like Greenbull.

Unlike Yamato, Luffy fully understand Momo's personality and pride and would let him have the occasion to prove himself first. He likely would have intervened if Shanks didn't do it first.

No one claimed that they believed Momo and the others would be enough. It's just that the moment Ryokugyu left, Luffy and the others were seen eating and drinking, so they were laid back and not under "tension", which doesn't mean they would not have been ready to interfere. They felt comfortable with giving Momo a shot at trying it on his own.
I’m not saying GB is not a threat. He is an admiral for fucks sake. So is kizaru. I’m saying he is not a threat to the level he used to be. In a fight one on one Luffy wins. High diff? Yes! But he wins the fight and with the help of Zoro and Sanji it isn‘t even a hard fight. So that is why Luffy doesn’t have to worry about admirals anymore.
