the thing is that the final war will basically be everyone vs the celestial dragons and their allies.

in this scenario both the pirates and the marines will be allies

the pirates hate the WG for obvious reasons but most of the marines are also against them. Akainu doesn't like the corruption of the gorosei. Imagine what he would do if he found out that cipher pol was making deals with the yonko. Akainu at the end of the day stands for justice and IM and the gorosei only stand for themselves.

this doesn't mean that the marines won't be enemies tho. Until Luffy finds one piece, the marines will do everything in their power to make sure Luffy doesn't become pirate king

Oh and by the way, mountain bandit worth 8 million billy was able with a smoke screen escape Shanks and kidnap Luffy LOOOL. Talk about a disappointment. At least Vista is worth more than this mountain bandit haha. But of course, we have lord of the coast to thank to eat that mountain bandit like a boss!

By the way, when Shanks said "get lost" he accidentally farted, that's why the lord of the coast left the area.

In all seriousness though, for people who always continue to bring up the "Mihawk vs Vista" and that Mihawk didn't finish him fast when Mihawk already answered this question during his duel with Zoro.

Mihawk: Gets out his small knife

Mihawk: I'm not like the other brutes in this world who would go all out while hunting rabbits.

We have clearly seen Mihawk not one-shotting Zoro, but rather he simply was wasting his time, killing his boredom by observing Zoro's skill and blocking all the attacks that Zoro can offer. The same can be said with Vista here. Read their dialog.

Mihawk: The best swordsman on WB ship, aren't you going to show me your flower blade style?
Vista: Have a good look, Rose rondo! and attacks

Mihawk is clearly the type of guy who will just hold back until the opponent dishes out ALL of their attacks, and overcome them. He's not the type of guy who would go for a oneshot to finish the duel as fast as he can. He said it with his own tongue to Zoro, and a guy like him dueling an East Blue Zoro for more than 10 min fight is only proving my point! He never goes all out or finishes the opponent unless he fully knows and comprehend all what they can do, and he finishes his observation and interest in them, THEN he finishes them off.

Regarding Vista, we all know Vista didn't yet show all what he's capable of, so Mihawk simply delayed it cause he is still interested in him

You points are all valid

So far multiple top tiers have shown that they have a unique personality trait:
Kaido wants strong underlings and as a result doesnt kill him opponents. He wants to break their will. He also wants to die

Shanks said he doesnt mind getting insulted etc. However, if you mess with people he cares about, he will go after you

Mihawk said he doesnt go all out to hunt rabbits. He wants a challenge and to see what the opponent can offer.

Big mom wants to make her family stronger thus will force strong people to marry into her family, change them into homies or traps unique people and collects them

However, Mihawk is the only person that get a downplayed for his personal trait.

I dont see people saying Shanks is weaker than lord of the cost and thus weaker than begining of story Luffy since he one shot a sea monster.

I dont see people saying BM is mid trio lvl etc.

People just like hating on Mihawk

the WB pirates were always portrayed as above the average yonko and Sengoku even stated that it was possible that the whitebeard pirates could defeat the marines+shichbukai. The WB were also rivals to the Roger pirates and the gorosei did say it was possible that Marco could beat blackbeard.

While obviously Marco did not beat blackbeard and the WB pirates lost in marineford, the fact that they were held to such high regard makes me believe it is possible that the crew could have had a few low top tiers as the gap between current Luffy and a yonko is still large enough to justify Marco getting squashed by blackbeard and them losing in marineford
