Does Ryokugyu Have A Black Blade?

Yeah, I have always said that for me was a Balck Blade until proven otherwise; the similarities are stunning. However, Oda refused to clarify the thing in any way possible, and Ryokugyu appeared two or three times since that scene.
I didn't think it would come to this, but the anime is probably going to clarify that for us, in some way.

But I think this...reticence is studied. Oda wants to keep the Black blade revelation for last because that is how he is going to hype up Ryokugyu when we will have already seen Rogia awakening and maybe another level of Haushoku.
Seems like Issho and Kizaru are the Observation specialists so yeah maybe Aramaki will specialize in Armament.
Don't know if he'd have a Black Blade though, mainly because Oda is never that ambiguous about them, they're pretty important.

My same idea. He could be an Armament specialist (and at that point being Zoro enemy in the final War, I think) while Fuji is an observation specialist.

Just imagine the damage control when the anime or when the colored chapters get released and clear it up lol
Likewise, thought.

Imagine the damage control and the hysteria from a certain fanbase if Ryo is really a Black Blade user lol.

calling it now, it's a bokken, a wooden sword lol
Not impossible, but the color of the wood would be completely different from all the other wood that Ryo used and produced.

And if it is a wooden sword forged black...well, it would still be a black blade. Even more special in some way, considering that he even created it.

A black blade user is fit to be called sword master who forged it by himself fights while not using it. :sus:
That is the level of the Admirals, they can achieve Mihawk’s life’s work in their spare time.

Mihawk was always a chicken like his fellow pirates. We see now that Mihawk is scared of the Yonko and actively wants to build Cross Guild up instead of going for One Piece lol.

Meanwhile Ryokugyu negged Weevil and charged the alliance headfirst with zero fear.

Total disappointment tbh, the reincarnation of King Baum having a black blade while the likes of Roger, Shanks, Fuji and Ray couldn’t. You do see how implausible that seems.
Yeah, but because you're mistaken about how strong Ryo is, imho.

So, as you see, one way or another the confirmation or the denial of the black blade will have a great impact.
But I think the bigger one would be the eventual confirmation. I can just see threads everywhere about how he surely did not forge it black or how forging it is not a great deal all in all.

Well, in B&W manga Ryo's blade is drawn EXACTLY like a black blade, there are actual comparison pics. His incoming figurine depict it as one too.

And studios that make legit figurines (not bootlegs) always have contact about Shueisha to get the official color schemes.

If it's not a black blade, Oda drew a sword that looks exactly the same as a black blade... because troll I guess.

Why isn't he using it? I don't fucking know, he was never pushed hard enough to maybe.

That isn't what a black blade looks like.
