Not new for Oda to hype characters only to have them fodderised by other characters.
Prime example is Vergo. Hyped like crazy only to get wrecked by Law.
This is soooo much differet than Vergo... Don't compare
Vergo was the toughest opponent on enemy side during Punk Hazard
Also, I hate when people say "Law one shotted him" when clearly it was simply Oda wrapping their fight by having Both Law ad Vrgo go all out at the end delivering a finishing blow...
Also, Law did a "counter shock" to vergo before to which Law said "It's no use"..... And Sanji before dealt some damage to Vergo... same for Smoker... damage accumulates.... this is WAAAAAY different from Vergo my friend
And again, during the Law cut scene... it was simply both doing their FINISHING MOVE... it's not written in a way to say "he got one-shotted"
Cause we got to see Law use his BIGGEST ROOM, that encompasses MOST of the island... while Vergo went Full-body armament for a big finishing blow...
So, again... we read the fight differently, but EVEN if you don't agree with this, Vergo took so much more than one hit with alternating opponents from Law/Smoker and Sanji.....
Let's not forget that Swordsmen usually end their opponents with one main strike... Zoro vs Mr.1 is an example, extreme high diff fight.... The only strike Zoro did, was the finishing blow... But with Vergo he tanked Sanji's attacks, Smoker attacks, and Law's counter shock before having that final finishing blow
