Akainu was already damaged from his fight with WB, of course he couldn’t fight Shanks. Mihawk had trouble handling Vista, killing Luffy, and Crocodile parried him lol. None of that has happened to Akainu before. Akainu is something beyond the scope of Mihawk.

Mihawk doesn’t fight Shanks anymore because he lost an arm, not that it even weakened him because he became a yonko later after losing that arm. Akainu was war ridden and hurt, of course he’s not going to fight Shanks lol the context is right there

It's a natural thing that a swordsman of Zoro's caliber is stronger than Luffy.
Zoro is an entirely different kind of beast while Luffy is just an angry kiddo.

Swords don't make the man, it's the way it's used and even then swords don't mean everything in a fight... Haki/CoA exists therefore irrelevant.

Do we actually know it's a "low-diff" or just a surprise attack? If Denjiro just slashed his back or something and Sasaki goes white-eyed (like Kaido did to Luffy's punch), then I don't think implies he low diffed him, just that he was caught off guard.

Luffy was scared because he saw that his arms would get cut off if he continued his attack, not because of Mihawk himself. He acknowledged Mihawk’s strength like he does with anyone stronger than him. But Akainu makes Luffy visibly hurt by just hearing about Akainu, Akainu is more prevalent in his mind than Mihawk
