To me it was bad because doesn't really show why exactly Sanji would follow Luffy and recognise him as his captain. Just feels like he wasn't liking his current job and Luffy offered him a 20% hike + Nami, so he changed his job.

S1 adapted like 100+ chapters so S2 should end after Alabasta.
They can do small arcs in 15 minutes and move to next one.

Skypiea is where the budget would need some serious amping up because Lightning > Sand as far as CGI goes. Let alone the whole Sky scenery
