Still need to see the last two episodes, but overall the Live Action is good.
Not amazing. Not awful.
The emotional parts from the anime do hit in the show as well, to varying degrees but they don't fall flat.
The dialogue is the biggest hurdle they need to overcome. Followed by the directing (I mostly mean camera angles here). I get rushing the plot, but you gotta let scenes breathe, and to do that you need more set up shots, more shots where the environment reflects thr character's mood, more ambiance lighting, cinematic shots etc.
The second season will deliver on all those fronts for sure. This season was a test drive and, in my layman opinion, they got their money's worth.
