Speculations Why is Oda allergic to giving all the SHs 1v1 fights in an arc?

Not everyone needs to be as strong as Zoro, Sanji or Jinbe but at this point they need to be strong enough to hold their own, they are a yonko crew now,
And they are. Robin and Franky are close to the power of jinbe.

Brook and chopper are able to survive in a war against emperor crews

Only ones that felt too weak for this is Usopp and Nami

Lol, he fucking did that in two stories, and the last one ended in 2007. People just still swear by that format for some reason. Maybe he doesn't do it because it's an extremely corny thing to keep repeating.

It’s too late at this point, we’re at the point in the manga where all the SH’s are not strong enough to face most of the villains that will come between now and EOS. Usopp, Nami, Brook, Chopper and Franky (somewhat) are reserved for the fodder now.

Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nico Robin, and Jimbei are the only ones we really need to see in full blown fights. Jimbei because of his strength and Robin because of her bounty and her overall importance to the general story.

Usopp needs growth in Elbaf, and a fight in BB pirates then in the Final War.

Usopps goal is to be a strong and brave warrior. Getting too strong early will make him reach his goal too soon
Usopp was just an examplem same thing can be said about Nami, Brook or Chopper.
Post automatically merged:

Fighting is literally the opposite of being a sniper. The fact that he might should be an exception and not an expectation.
Just an example that can be applied to Nami etc...

Robin's fight against BM was her first since Skypeya (if you count that one as a fight). Franky has many more fights and more impressive feats. This obsession with Robin will never make sense to me

Nami Brook and chopper got powered up to not die.

They’re not big fighters and they don’t need to be.
Non-sense. This is what someone who doesn't care about the characters would say. It's a manga where everything revolves around fights, not politics, not diplomacy, not strategy, not mental games, just fights. Of course they need to fight to tay relevant

… op has never been that kind of manga. Nami got one fight in the manga where she won via strategy. Same with chopper. Brooks never even had a fight

The characters are important and will shine when needed, but their strength in a war doesn’t matter at all.

This is a cope that Onepiece fans keep regurgitating. Pre-time skip Onepiece always gave the strawhats the chance to fight and to improve themselves. Chopper fought in every single pre-skip arc. Nami fought in Alabasta, El, had a minor fight in Sky Island. Brook joined immediately before the split.

The only way to shine in current Onepiece is through fighting, Oda doesn't know to write anything else. The crew got screwed in post-skip piece because Oda decided they do not matter, only thing that matters is the 100 side characters introduced every arc and the M3.
