It makes perfect sense as Lucci's and Stussy's allegiances are currently reversed - and no one notices it!
Have you not seen that Sanji is not reacting to Stussy the way he always does, when there is a protagonistic woman in distress? He does not help her and this is because Stussy is not on the SHPs side - Lucci hurting her is because he didn't want to kill Vegapunk, but Stussy. Lucci knew she had to safe the Stellar, if he tried to kill him. Because the WG wants to safe three things at all costs:
- Punk Records
- York
- Mother Flame
And since Punk Records is the brain of the Stellar, it would die if he dies - meaning the Stellar needs to be safe, even if the WG wants to kill Vegapunk.
In fact, Stussy calling Akainu in to inform him od the SHP being on Egghead makes her responsible for the currently 9 VA and 30,000 men surrounding the island. You don't do that, when you are a friend.
And the reason Lucci is helping the SHP is simply: Look at the similarities between Lucci and Shaka - they are like twins, with the same posture, behaviour, eloquent speach pattern, moral canon and way of thinking. They are identical twins! And no one notices it! Lucci had from the start on reservations about the whole mission, and he openly questiones - you have to take that in, Lucci questioning a mission - openly questioned their mission!
The situation is not as it currently seems. And I know that the fight between Zolo and Lucci will either be off screened or cut short. We will not see the final blow of Zolo. Trust me on this.
