It is. For once, that a simple yes or no question. I precised clearly the definition. With that, you can't be on both side, its perfectly illogical. So either you didn't read the definition or you don't want to answer.
The point is not to compare the beliefs, its to understand that there are two type of beliefs in conflict.
For example with the free will argument, a real materialist leftist won't believe in free will as opposed to a liberal who perfectly believe in it. This is a notion where there can't be nuance UNLESS you understand that you must live with the illusion and therefore use the environment as a scale for this value. The more you think the environment as an effect on your life, the more you will be on the left. That's what a clash of value means.
And those value are all along the way:
Free Will VS its absence
Individualism VS Collectivism culture
Progressism VS Conservatism
Socialism VS Capitalism
Etc.
