Nazis are a historical group with off-shoots in the modern day. It is characterized by a subordination of the individual to what is 'good' for society as a whole. It has obvious connections to Adolf Hitler (given that he was the leader of the Nazi party in Nazi Germany).
However "Nazi" as a colloquial term is a synonym of the term "Anti-Semite". We (society as a whole, to be honest) don't really look into the historical meaning of terminology. We look at the modern day interpretation. Hence, when I think of Nazi, I think of an individual who hates Jewish people and believes in an Aryan Ethno-State.
I am aware, however, that many people fling it as a catch-all insult, which is just plain dumb.

I'm not giving a 'straight' answer because the answer is a little more nuanced. Language changes over time. What Nazi used to mean and how it is used in the modern day is different.
What is a Nazi? It's someone who believes in the political ideology of national socialism which is fascistic in nature and characterized by a belief in a natural hierarchy of people, with the Aryan race being at the top.
