Powers & Abilities What character would Sanji have to fight and defeat in order to earn his respect back?

Pre time skip I was a Sanji fan but lost time skip I started to hate him because of Odas treatment of him. However, recently I’ve started to warm up to him a bit more because of his new found upgrades.

I love that he got rid of the raid suit because that was ridiculous.
I love the exoskeleton and IJ is a great powerup for Sanji.

I still think that he needs some haki boosts but that’s irrelevant to this post.

The problem is I can’t easily guage Sanji after beating Queen for the following reasons:

1. Queen was flat out trash. Lasers never hurt anyone competent in One Piece, the poison was fodder control only, and he was an idiot.

2. He was a bad matchup for Sanji because he was a slow big target with no CoO feats.

If you agree with me, who could Sanji beat to garner your respect?

He would need to beat a fast and powerful character that isn’t an idiot in my opinion. I have a few options feel free to add more:

1. King
2. Lucci
3. Katakuri
4. Doflamingo
5. Marco

Those are the weakest characters that would earn my respect. Anyone weaker than them are irrelevant.

Sanji must Win his Fights Mano a Mano
Both going for their Best Shot

Like Luffy vs Katakuri or Luffy vs Kaidou or Luffy vs Doflamingo or Zoro vs King or Zoro vs Mr. 1 or Zoro vs Zombie Ryuma ... etc
A True Honorable Duel

But Sanji?
Against Kuroobi, He makes him leave Water to catch his Breath & then Lands his Finisher Move
Against Satori, Luffy holds him in place, so that Sanji can Land Finishing Blow
Against Jabra, Sanji lets Jabra Attack him so that He successfully lands a Critical Strike
Against Wadatsumi, Sanji simply landed Finishing Attack
Against Queen, Sanji waited till Queen was distracted with that Geisha to Land his Combo

Only Time Sanji truly had a Legit Mano a Mano Win was against Mr. 2
That was like 900 Chapters ago so.....

Their Final Exchange wasn't
Sanji let Jabra hit him so that He lands his Attack

True Men would choose to let their Attacks Directly Face Off & see who's Stronger, as simple as that
And i'm not bringing this from my head, Sanji's Early Design is same as a Character from one of Oda's Early One-Shots
(Similar to how Zoro was based on Ryuma)

And that Character was a Cowboy, but instead of winning his Fights in like a Fair Mexican Standoff, He relied on tricking his Opponent or putting them in a Position so that He can guarantee landing his Attacks without needing to put his Attacks directly against theirs

That's exactly how Sanji wins his Fights
It happened with Kuroobi, with Satori, with Jabra, with Queen, and even with Weaker Opponents than him
It's simply Sanji's Fighting Philosophy

He is basically a Guy with Very Powerful Gun (His Kick) and He tried to find a way to Land it at Full Power
Contrary to Zoro who tries to prove that his Attacks are Superior than his Opponents
And Luffy who is Mix of both Zoro's Style & Sanji's

Let’s be real pre power up King would have toyed with Sanji. If you count the anime Sanji looked terrible in their clash.

Just because Queen is a fat-ass clown people underestimate him. On the other hand, some people gas King's stupid ass to high heaven just because he looks cool.

While in fact the two are relatively equal. Even on panel we have a blood lusted King sending Zoro, who was defending himself with his swords, across Onigashima with an air slash while the same attack did nothing, nill, nada, zero, zilch, zip, to Queen who wasn't even defending himself.

Even if Sanji somehow beats Mihawk or Akainu in the future people will still find shit to complain about LoL

It is what it is.

U dnt count non canon material. With that said, rooftop luffy/Zoro both struggle with King pre ACoC PU. Hell post Wano there struggling to counteract lunarina durability with help. The only character on Wano capable of smacking king pre PU Law.

post PU, he’s on par with the kings of the world. Massively faster than flame on King, which will force him into speed mode. 50/50

The problem with queen is he should've taken the fight serious from the beginning like king. Then that fight would had weight

Pre power up once Luffy figured out the trick he destroys King. But we don’t even know if Sanji can win once/if he figures it out. Luffy figured out FS and Zoro figured out King so it’s safe to assume they will. We can’t assume that for Sanji but even if he does we don’t know that he has the power to win.

Sanji has proven to be able to put down Accient zoan durability down. Once he knows the trick of King he has the fire power

Luffy isn't doing shit to king until he gets acoc and seeing how ass overkong gun was he probably needs g5

Sanji is never going to beat a character of that caliber. That’s the problem. I’m simply asking for Sanji to fight someone on his level or slightly stronger. Queen was inferior to Sanji from the start Sanji was fighting himself. Queen and King aren’t close saying equal is crazy.

But at least your willing to admit Queen is a far slow clown.
