Powers & Abilities What character would Sanji have to fight and defeat in order to earn his respect back?

Someone like Jyabura or Mr2. Those guys were legit fighters.

Gag itself isn't the problem. Mr2 is a gag character for example, but as a fighter he was still legit.
Problem is that Queen is a bad fighter skill vise who kinda made up for it with raw power, tankiness and tech. Most of the fight was Queen getting beaten up even pre exoskeleton/IJ, just that back then Sanji lacked the firepower to put him down.

As for who he should fight in the future. End game obviously an admiral or Gorosei, but before that... IDK who is the other guy that is obviously set up for sanji. From BBP, Muscle guy or Pizzaro or Lafitte would be my guesses, all of them look like legit fighters unlike Queen, so sanji fans can rejoice lol.
Once Sanji fights someone legit and has that haki bloom then the fanbase will stop second guessing him. It’s been the Zoro and Luffy show since the time skip started, I’m ready for Sanji to seem like a threat again.

Eh oda really jumps on powerscaling without caring much no one thought sanji could be on par with marco EoW
I’ll agree with you there Luffy went from barely being YC1 to Yonko level in about a week. Hopefully Sanjis growth seems more organic lol

Haki isn't sanji's thing, his PUs are science related
It's a mix of both.

Sanji basically confirmed that without the armament haki buff he got by training in Wano, IJ wouldn't have been possible.

End game Sanji would probably have advanced armament haki and advanced observation haki. Along with hotter flames (magma? What else is left after blue flames)

yeah but he never said his haki got any stronger just that he needed to use it

Lol even if he one shotted a resurrected Primebeard ppl would still slander the ever loving shit out of him.

That just won't change
I think the vast majority of people questioning Sanji are receptive to him being redeemed. However, the loud minority of trolls are who you will hear the most from.

unless the manga says or shows it got stronger then it didn't, otherwise every character will get a haki power up just by using it

He didn’t have it at all previously so I would consider that being stronger.

I’m going to address you seriously despite knowing you’re a troll.

1. I’m not a King fan I don’t know why you think I am.

2. Regardless of my thoughts on Queen, this isn’t Sanji downplay and I know that’s why you think I hate Queen (for a Sanji downplay agenda that I don’t have). I listed multiple other characters that aren’t King that could be Sanjis opponents.

So a serious question for you is was Queen your ideal Sanji opponent? Or would you have preferred him fight someone with a more suitable fighting style to oppose him?
To be honest I think Queen was set up as a character for zoro fans to downplay despite having the better feats and showings. No matter what... they'll never accept sanjis opponents as strong. Even if he knocks out a yonko and captures her...

Think about how ridiculous that is. If marco knocked out a yonko everyone would ride his dick... but not queen...

Sanjis opponents are almost always goofy in some way. Jabra, mr 2, absalom... now queen. These aren't reasons for why they are weak. But it does cause these characters to be downplayed. Even with the better feats.

I have acknowledged these other characters that you've listed. They don't stand a damn chance. Queen beats each of them. Your Queen downplay is why you don't see the truth. Sanji mid diffed queen. Hence sanji stomps each of those characters.

Queen literally has better feats than king. Why do you have king>queen? If not because of your own bias. I get that kings the rhm but that only goes so far. Feats matter for most zoro fans until the portrayal favors their argument... lmao. Then they switch up.

Kings only feats are fighting zoro. But king was portrayed as queens peer. Someone equal to him. As shown with king's slashing attacks being ineffective on queen. Or simply the paneling and portrayal in the manga.

Since we've established that the only thing placing king>queen is the right hand man portrayal... then we can safely assume that Queen's portrayal of being close to king in power is also accurate.

Logically no matter which way you look at it. Portrayal shows they're equals. Feats show that Queen's got the better showing.

So why in the fuck do you think doffy could ever touch a halfway serious queen and do any damage? Could doffy make king ever take him seriously? I doubt it. So why queen?

You're a clown for even making this argument.

I'm not a troll. I'm just unbiased. Most fans don't think logically so they label me as a troll when they can't refute my arguments.

Edit; I do wish sanji had a character better suited to his fighting style. Like kuroobi or mr2. But considering people downplayed sanjis raw strength... queen was the perfect tank to showcase sanjis ap.

Bill we will never agree on Queen but based on the ending of your post I think that we both would have preferred an opponent more suited to Sanjis fighting style. That’s all I’m getting at.

Just because Queen is a fat-ass clown people underestimate him. On the other hand, some people gas King's stupid ass to high heaven just because he looks cool.
I don't think the gap between Queen and King being huge or non-existent is that important. He is a fat-ass clown, which already makes him look relatively weak, with no good feats against certified strong character. Tanking hits from Marco or Ryokugyu doesn't make him look intimidating sadly.
And Sanji is the L-taker of the strawhats so he cannot be used anymore to hype people up. Sanji needed to fight a badass looking character like King

It was an awful matchup :kayneshrug:

He's a bad match up, I can't argue with that.

Queen wasn't actually the problem as much as Oda. Queen surprisingly has many super abilities -the Vinsmoke powers, especially the Electric Blue that would have elevated his speed to match Sanji or at least keep up- which would have made the fight more engaging. It's just that just as he finally showed his full abilities Oda ended the fight abruptly.

Oda focused more on the character component of the fight and mostly forgot about the visuals.

That is a big issue too. Sanji vs Queen ending was really anticlimactic. After Sanji kicked Queen out of the island I was sure he would come back in his awakened form :josad:

why do you want all of zoro's opponents?
Most crews have just one decent underling, it is not our fault :josad:

Thank goodness the BB crew exist :steef:
