The point remains. Oda has explained WB's inaction by blaming lack of information travel from Wano. And a Yonkou should definitely know what is going on in Wano specially when one of his crew tells everybody that he has been to Wano.

I can't help but feel that Whole Cake Island may only be a preview of what Wano can be in terms of PIS and plot armor and that the arc in the land of samurais could end up being the most controversial story arc ever published in One Piece.

We can clearly see Oden is a post-timeskip retcon. Initially he never existed, otherwise Ace (who was in Wano) would have talked about him and his demise.

Oda literally had to rewrite the old flashbacks by inserting Oden and overhyping him to a point the legendary battles and plot wasn't up to the hype.
Plot was messy

My friend ( not a member of this forum, unfortunately ) talked with me a few minutes ago and said that maybe Izo informed Whitebeard of the prophecy and Whitebeard tried to wait for the promised day while Ace would rise in power and then they could go to wage a war against Kaido with all their might. Sadly Ace got captured, Thatch died and Blackbeard betrayed him and all of Marineford stuff happened etc.

Seems interesting but as I said to him it makes no sense because Kaido is probably younger than Whitebeard and Big Mom and waiting each year only allows Kaido to grow in power while Whitebeard was losing his own battle against his health status.

Well it could be just me but I am enjoying wano so far.

Yes it has some shortcomings and pacing and frequent breaks are a bit annoying but overall I am kind of liking wano and I am sure it would be good read once wano would be over.
