There will absolutely be a 1000 other things happening in between lol. This fight (if not interrupted) will drag to 15-20 chapters easily, because thats Oda's style with Luffy fights, he puts everything else in the middle.

- The shield goes down, that leaves the VAs to get to the dome, so what happens there?
- They no longer have Vegaforce 1, and this Ancient Robot only woke up
- Theres Zoro/Lucci and whatever that leads to.
- Theres Kuma's flashback and potential(?) arrival
- Theres the Mother Flame factory and its purpose (we havent seen it or what Mother Flame is)

And more. Now Bonney is hurt and not with everyone too.

Lucci is going down next chapter likely, 1092 was added between 1093 and 1091 so that it doesnt fell like it happened too fast. Since Oda will be busy with gear 5 luffy vs kizaru he wont prollonge the lucci fight. Robot Vs Fleets.

I think people are still stuck on the idea that Egghead Arc is gonna be a short arc and that One Piece is ending

there's no way they think this fight is gonna be short

it took Shanks showing up to make Greenbull leave

and that was just the Admiral

we have the entire fleet and Saturn here

I still think you’re expecting too much from this arc.

- Kuma flashback isn’t going to be long it’ll probably be the same length as Kaidos
- The Zoro vs Lucci fight is probably just going to last one chapter
- The Ancient Robot will take care of the VAs down below while luffy fights in the grid
- The blackbeard pirates will reveal themselves, complete their job, and leave when the grid falls

This arc is only going to last 2 more volumes imo.
