Why do you call them "mere clones", for all we know they're not that much weaker than the real Kizaru and there were multiple of them.

Naruto's shadow clones negged the Third Raikage and they were fighting Kaguya lol...clones don't have to be fodder, Madara's limbo clones are each equal to himself for example.
