It's either activating advCoC at the end or none at all. The swords are not even CoA coated. Full KoH application looks like this.
No tiny vague hint of lightning but long fat trails. Zoro wasn't even using CoA to clash with awakened cucci and is now getting over to oneshot him

Luffy being much stronger than Zoro doesn't make Zoro worthless. Zoro is still a beast and can take on other strong characters that the rest of the crew can't. Luffy just has to take on the strongest since he's the strongest, Zoro can get the next guy

We know acoc is black lighting and we only see that at the final panel when we even get a close up of Zoro swords coated black even.

no smoke on edge of swords only used in KOH, oda just didnt draw the black lightning on the clash he drew it on the sword afterwards, use common sense
