Ngl, it somehow disturbed/shocked me. First time in my life reading a manga.

I wanted Sukuna to win, but not necessarily Gojo to take such a massive and brutal L.

I thought that as well. I think they are being wary as they know that he was not going all out trying to reserve power for after Gojo is defeated.
