I don't think hybrid mode adds much to his base other than some increase his power. Only significant dura increase. Theres a reason G5 was getting hammered by hybrid Kaido.

I love that Oda gave this relaxed vibe to Kizaru and this vibe is possibly the reason why Kizaru was not freaking out, because he wasn't phased by what Luffy did.

In terms of power scaling , nothing changed. Kizaru is not focused on fighting luffy as much as in killing vegapunk. Kizaru has yet to go all out and luffy has yet to use adv coc.

Its a backdrop fight until everything else is done. Once all matchups start and end, only then will the fight truly get serious in the end.
