Great point but here's the cold hard truth: Haki is Oda's deus ex tool. It exists to explain the unexplainable, it exists to be Oda's get out of jail free card, nothing more nothing less. It's the reason Oda refuses to elaborate, because the minute he does, he's locked into that box.
Oh this Law ability is too hax and would end this farce? Oh well strong haki , which type of haki, how does it function, is it passive, active, what moves does it effect, to what degree and why? Nope no answer. Haki goes brrr.
When he needs to turn it on he will, when he needs to turn it off he will. When he needs an ice fist to match an advCoC fist from the strongest fist fighter of all time it will, when he needs it to be the most OP power it will.
I've officially checked out of haki discussions. The only thing I'm looking at now is results. That's it, that's all that matters.
