The Gorosei talk down to Akainu. They are the 2nd in command after imu. Devil Fruit users, maybe even mythical or ancient. Most likely also all of them have awakened them.

Then one of them sets out for Egghead Island. Has the highest authority, figuratively and literally (with the Pacifistas and Seraphims) and commanded everyone to keep quiet about his presence. All this but somehow he was just gonna sip tea and watch telenovela.

Plus it's now more likely that the big incident involves Saturn also and not just Kizaru.

Akainu clearly respects the Gorosei, and Akainu clearly doesn't respect weak authority. If Akainu respected weak authority, his justice wouldn't be Absolute Justice.

its been fun seeing countless discourse but level headed people BEEN KNEW the elders are the top fighters of WG. They're Imu's last line of defense along with Garling. Saturn is the main villain of Egghead, Kizaru is just there as an opener. This is similar to BM and Katakuri in Wholecake except Luffy is already stronger than Kizaru.
