Kizaru is making G5 look overrated honestly, let alone Luffy.

Idk if it was the new mode effect, but G5 looked like a problem against Kaidou...how tf is someone who isn't even supposed to be a tank looking so unfazed by such a juiced up attack to the head?

If this fight is any indication, Kaidou is indeed getting powercreeped to oblivion by EOS, like any series the first showcase of a powerup will always look more impressive, each subsequent use of G5 is gonna become more of a norm.

That is only if you go ahead and assume that Gear 5 went all out and didn't do anything to Kizaru.

He took the attack well, as expected. We still haven't seen the after math though & it's the first attack that Kizaru takes while Kaidou took damage for 60 chapters before that.

Luffy literally propose help to Zolo against Lucci right after sending Lizaru like a fodder, thats when Lizaru needed to use his special Yasakanino Magatama clone version that he didn't even use in Marineford battle and did only a small paper cut with it, Fresh Lizaru couldn't hit or damage G5 Luffy like Kaido did. While Luffy started to that fight not full strength when Kaku was crippled the rest was obviously damaged as well.

Kizaru literally had time to slap yonkou Luffy friend out the barrier while telling her he doesn't want to hurt her and having casual conversation with Vegapunk. Goofy didn't tag Kizaru until he caught him distracted

if Kizaru has awakening, he might legitimately put Kaido on fraudwatch.

If Kizaru has another gear and awakening, I'd have to agree, Kaidou looks bad. This is Luffy going all out, and Kizaru still seems relatively unfazed.

I don't even know what the intention here is from Oda...is he actively trying to show Kaidou ain't all that? Or is he just trying to show the fandom how strong an Admiral is supposed to be?

One interesting scene is when Kizaru admits Luffy has the strength to take down Kaidou, and then bodies him right after. Keep in mind even base Luffy was impressive against Kaidou, and G4 Luffy looked useless next to Kizaru.

All agendas aside Kaidou might just have been fed to new mode hype.
