I really wouldn't put too much stock into how a character looks after taking an attack especially after what we got in the Kaido fight. Dude looked more hurt from Red Roc (G2/G3) than he did from Kong Rifle (G4), he seemingly took base punches with crude CoC worse than G3 attacks with refined CoC and then went on to brush off Over Kong Gun as if it was on the same tier of power as previous attacks he received.
Let's see how things develop from here on, how much more Kizaru will take (if the fight even continues) and whether or not Luffy will push past his exhausted state like he did against Kaido.

I completely agree with the inconsistency but at some point enough is enough when it comes to Kizaru, can he atleast look like he feels something atleast? This is a visual medium at the end of the day, and this is Luffy's ultimate mode and he's using maxed out haki which wasn't even meant for regular humans, you look at that panel on its own and you'd think it did zero damage.
Not only that, just visually this entire fight looks like Luffy exhausting himself and Kizaru is relatively casual. Without any context if I showed this to someone indifferent to OP they would think Luffy is barely a threat to Kizaru. And little would they know Luffy is using G4 and G5.

And so Kizaru has already woken up from the coma that Luffy put him in?
We now start with the adcoc, and kizaru is already in a coma... Maybe saturn being an awakened mythical zoan could give luffy more pleasure as an opponent since unlike Lizaru he can withstand real attacks.
