Headcanon Theory Time!

As per the latest chapter, we finally get the reveal of Saturn's "devil fruit" power.

Now unlike every other devil fruit power shown, a devil fruit user can use and transform into whatever power their fruit is based on, Saturn's powers seems to be different.

For one he needed to be summoned, and his first form had the look of being what awakened zoan users look like.

Correct me if i am wrong, but when we get a new fruit user using their power (obviously with their character intro bubble), does Oda not tell us the name of the fruit?

Could Saturn and by extension the other Gorosei, instead of eating a devil fruit, been granted these powers some other way? Maybe they got into a contract with the devil (imu maybe?), or there's more than 1 way to gain fruit like powers without eating one?

If seastone doesn't work on Saturn, it might further push him not being a typical devil fruit user.

You guys think they're unique or just the same old nasty fruit munchers?

Saturn could straight up be demon.
I wouldn't be surprised. Maybe they're the 5 original people that Imu (satan) corrupted and turned against the ancient kingdom.

They're demons just like Luffy "is a god".
Demons with an ancient grudge against the saviour joyboy? Wouldn't be surprised if Oda goes this route

Sometimes no, for example when Kaido was first shown using his powers we didn't get the name of his devil fruit.

Because of that, some people thought that Kaido wasn't a devil fruit user or that he was a dragon that ate the Oni devil fruit.

The name of Kaido's devil fruit wasn't revealed until Act 3 of Wano, where it was name dropped by Big Mom.

I'm pretty sure Saturn is a devil fruit user, and Oda will reveal the name of his fruit either in the next chapter or in a future SBS or Vivre Card.

If they’re demons, I feel like this means that Imu has the ability to turn humans into demons. Would be pretty peak power
People's desires turn into fruits over time (maybe) and then others consume them.

With Imu it's probably him using people desires and transforms them into a bastardised version of what their fruit would've become.

Overtime people started calling them them Devil Fruits, because of all the abominations around

I meant specifically when the character intro box comes up or when they first transform in front of us, Oda usually tells us what the fruit is.

But you could be right. Maybe Oda has a reason, beyond just not wanting to do it now, for hiding the name of this power

Saturn being able to summon himself is probably just part of his Mythical Zoan powers.

However if we don't get the name of Saturn's devil fruit at all and if the other Elders can also summon themselves in the exact same way, then maybe Saturn along with the other Elders really aren't devil fruit users.

I think the number 5 is the big kicker on that summoning circle. This makes me think it’s the target of all the 5 elder stars.

Also if the gorosei lose; could Imu basically create new ones and turn other humans into demons?

I'm really hoping they're not devil fruit users and that they're actual demons.

I also doubt the pentagrams are part of Saturn's "df power" since black magic pentagrams are mostly a western thing while Ushi-oni are purely japanese. Also notice that the pentagram has the #5 on it, maybe reflecting Saturn's position as the fifth gorosei.

Unless it turns out that Saturn actually ate the Baal fruit rather than the Ushi-Oni fruit, but I hope that's not the case since them being demons takes the series in a new mysterious direction. The Kings of Hell or Godhand of One Piece.

Also the minute I saw these panels, these tracks immediately popped into my head
