General & Others The man who beat Kaido’s equivalent of the gorosei

#1
Imu has 5 top subordinates, the gorosei.

This is an odd crew dynamic because usually the villains have two or three subordinates on a different level. But 5? Does that mean Franky and Robin will fight people on the same tier as Zoro and Sanji? I think not.

Rather I think the gorosei will be beaten by members of the 3 trios Luffy is a part of.

The M3
  • Luffy
  • Zoro
  • Sanji

ASL
  • Luffy
  • Ace
  • Sabo

Captain trio
  • Luffy
  • Kidd
  • Law

When you combine the members of these three trios, excluding Luffy and the dead Ace, you get 5 strong fighters:
  1. Zoro
  2. Sanji
  3. Sabo
  4. Kid
  5. Law
2 are straw hats, the others are Luffy’s strongest allies.

While other strong characters like Dragon or Shanks could possibly fight Gorosei, I feel like this makes the most sense as it puts Luffy at the center. Dragon and Shanks are mentor figures for Luffy.

Sabo, Kid, and Law on the other hand are Luffy’s peers. They are his allies but as we saw in wano and Dressrosa, they’re basically Luffy’s cheerleaders. They’re much closer to being his followers than Dragon or Shanks.

And hence I feel like it makes the most sense for them to face Imu’s top 5. That way it’s Luffy and his followers vs Imu and his.

Replace Kidd with Akainu

Good theory. I would just like to change one thing. Coby in, Sanji out. There is a big gap in potential.

Sabo (new Dragon and RA leader)
Kidd (new Whitebeard and WSM)
Zoro (new Mihawk and WSS)
Coby (new Garp and Strongest Marine)
Law (new Shiki and Worlds Strongest Strategist I guess)

Saturn's haki is not impressive. Didn't dodge Bonney's attack and didn't block it. He bled. Not convinced he is stronger than Kizaru just because he has awakened Zoan. Kaku got that too. Moonbeard Garlic is probably stronger than the Five Elders.

Lol cope, Sanji will be fighting one of the Elders.

The one needed Law's help to defeat Big Mom and then got one shotted by Shanks is the next Whitebeard?:suresure:

Yeah sure whatever you say.:milaugh:
We'll see. For me it's clear that there always has been and always should be a gap between Sanji and the very top like Supernova or Roof Top. Still makes him one of the strongest and most reknowned in the series, just not a part of the Elites Elite.

Regarding Kidd it is EXACTLY as it should be. How many times was Kaido captured and defeated before becoming WSC at age 40? How many times was Whitebeard stabbed and slashed before becoming WSM around age 40-50? Kidd is 25 (+/- 3 years, can't remember). His OP prime is 15 years away.

We have this incredibly wrong view in society today that you should be the worlds strongest at 22. Yes, in the odd case you get a LeBron James who was more or the less the best in the world at 20 (L.uffy).

But if you look at Michael Jordan he was "only" the best in college at 20. Then world class at 25. The best in the world at 30. And finally the GOAT at 35. He had to do it step by step, get defeated, learn, grit his teeth, come back, win, prove it by winning again.

And it's mostly the same in OP as we have seen with the admirals, Garp, Kaido, WB and so on.
