Didn't accepted serious reply.
Oda was more interested in showing that oden-wannabe.
Wastage too much time on her running everywhere.
All this just to throw oden-wannabe away at the end of arc.
Death of Izo didn't even matter.
Kiku was more interested in bathing with girls
Lmao aye, I knew you weren't mentioning it for "serious reasons" but ironically its a serious topic for me so I had to chip in haha.
Rght!? He wasted so many panels, so many pages on meaningless, pointless stuff and cut out things we actually wanted to see and needed! What was the point of all that forced stalling when he could have just used the stuff we were so desperate for, aching for, as the filler instead?
Not to mention so many random mysteries/plotlines that went nowhere, out of character moments, terrible "death fakeouts" and "actual deaths" too, the list just keeps going on and on!
Izo's death pisses me off immensely, I was legit hyped for Izo since Marineford was freaking airing on tv and what for?! Complete regret 13-14 years or whatever later! I love Kiku but ironically hated her for that lol. Absolutely shameless and terrible writing by Oda for that.
Yamato should have been the one to save Nami and Tama from Ulti and Page One, defeating them easily and even taking on Big Mom like she did to Kaido, not to win of course but to help make Kidd and Law beating her later more plausible too.
Although I really wanted to see a fight between her and Jack, where as Yamato is the actual child of Kaido and Jack is the "ideal but not related" child for him, the one Kaido is proud of unlike Yamato who he treated in the worst ways possible ofc. Both of them even being the same age would have made this even more fitting too.
Jack could be praising Kaido and chastising Yamato for rebelling and not respecting him whereas Yamato would chew him out for being so blind/ignorant to Kaido and praising an absolute monster like him, but Jack would just retort that he loves that about Kaido and laugh it off, that he doesnt care or more so, he relishes it ofc.
If Yamato helped Nami too, it would have worked so greatly in her favour for joining the crew too. Although I love what Oda did with Nami and Ulti in the end, seeing Yamato fight could have inspired her and Zeus to take that new melee style with Zeus, to enchance and reshape Nami's clima tact to that mace shape or w/e and fight like Yamato did.
I can't believe how much Oda fucked this arc up, its tragic, honestly. Well over a decade of buildup at minimum for this, even 15-16 years at least potentially, all for that and a 4 year long, 150 chapter arc at that.
People who praise Wano so much, especially rate it so highly and call it perfect and the best genuinely make me sick lol. Its like the most egegrious concern trolling/delusion/sycophantism gone wild.
Anyway thats enough rant/saltiness/derailing lol. This arc is so much better its not even funny!
