Kaido was never meant to be a morally grey complex character (bro was him), but I understand Big Mom (though I personally like her backstory + role in story).
I have my fingers crossed that by the end of this arc, Kizaru fails all his objectives and he catches himself sighing in relief. The way Luffy and Kizaru have been talking during their conversation theres a genuine dialogue going on. And judging by Kizaru's reactions, Luffy's slowly chipping at the wall he's built. It'd be cool if the Straw Hats would be the ones to put light back in Kizaru's eyes and convince him to help the revs (through his VP/Kuma connections).
He needs an asswhooping for Sabaody-Marineford first though, I don't care if he just saw a pirate I'm still angry
