Dragon being a ghost for over 20 years after making his appearance in Loguetown pretty much destroyed his character and any significant role he could have played in the story. Revos suck as well, not even Luffy’s mom will save the Revos from looking bad. Akainu’s importance in the story is starting to fade as well, that started as soon as Imu showed up. Looney Tunes Nika is gonna hog all the action from now on.

Thats a really good point too. Probably why Oda has kept quiet about Moria and Perona too. Given Moria can do his own version of Edo Tensei and was weaponising the corpse of one Rocks Pirate, maybe even 2 more potentially, as well as Oars, this can't be coincidence.

Well that much is evident from his relationship with Luffy, the fight with Blackbeard looming and now this whole CD business. Knowing Oda, he’s going to get a lot of hype moments, just a matter of if this CD stuff will ruin all of that in the end. If and when he fights BB we know he isn’t coming out of that with a W, possibly losing his other arm or dying.

[Shanks raises his hand, and a strange power envelops him, reminiscent of Aizen's Kyoka Suigetsu.]

Shanks: [Smirking] Allow me to introduce you to my "Zoan," the Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit, Snitcha the Dishonored One!

[Shanks transforms into a giant rat with three menacing tails and piercing red eyes.]

Luffy: [Shocked] What the heck is that thing?!

Buggy: [Panicking] We're doomed!

Mihawk: [Unfazed] This is certainly unexpected.
