I don't think odas gonna have sanji looking terrible all arc. He just needs to establish the sh as the underdogs and hype the gorosei. Everyone's been questioning power levels this entire arc and Odas been shitting on expectations.

Idk. I don't see one chapter as being indicative of anything concrete unless it's something specifically stated in the chapter. Sanji has a history of coming back with some work.

I do agree tho. But if he used jimbei people would lose faith in him even faster than sanji. He's not gonna get the feats sanji gets going forward. His reputation can't be somewhat redeemed after being shitted on.

Odas kinda stale with his methods but at least they work. Kinda. Lmao. We all miss the pre ts dynamics but oda seems to be relying heavily on that prior portrayal. I don’t even talk about Page One or Germa. He didn’t defeat Page One, he didn’t have a real fight with Germa, if I count anything from Germa he lost against Judge and Niji. They had to save him because he was too slow and they told him that.

The only one I bash is Queen. Sanji has good character showings but from a strength perspective he has more bad showings.

Instead without using a single named attack or DJ he was knocking an ancient Dino on his ass regularly. Meanwhile Jinbe going high diff with someone on Page Ones level?

And what the… judge literally had to cheat against Sanji to win. Sanji neg diffed Yonji and with a nameless DJ less kick broke Nijis jaw canonically doing more to Germa exoskeleton and Raid suit than awakened Katakuri could.

No Sanji has much more good strength showings than bad.

I didn’t care about Appo vs Luffy at all because I knew Luffy would show out that arc. The problem is that Sanji has more bad showings than good when it comes to strength. Everytime he meets someone remotely strong he has to get his ass beat. You know it’s true.

Sanji is a pirate, if he loses a fight because he doesn’t want to hit a woman or kill a clone that’s his own fucking fault. There aren’t rules in a pirate fight. If Mihawk lost to Zoro nobody would care that he used a pocket knife he picked his own downfall.

Vergo - Nami broke his body while she was in it and Sanjis body durability was an all time low. Yet Vergo still had to run away cause he couldn’t beat sanji.

Doffy - Sanji got trapped by a devil fruit trap he wasn’t aware of. Same thing happened to Jozu in Marineford; you know Whitebeards second strongest commander

Page One - Sanji literally stated he doesn’t want to destroy the flower capital so he decided best not to prolong the fight

Judge - Sanji yells out to the fodder to get out of the way and then stops his attack so he doesn’t hurt the fodder

But sure focus on the out of context feats to match your headcanon on Sanjis “weaker power.”

Sanji literally got one shotted by the gorosei and couldn’t land a single attack. Now he can’t even move from one attack? This is utterly ridiculous. Honor does not matter among pirates they aren’t midevil knights. That’s why BB is prevailing fright now. Pirates are dirty fighters. I say that to say if honor is your downfall as a pirate that’s your own fault. WB had honor and he died for it. He could have went and killed BB himself and didn’t.
