Future Events Will Garling replace Saturn as a Gorosei?

I know Saturn is all hype right now, but Garling has had a lot of spotlight lately and the "God of Science" is still at risk, considering Luffy's plot armor extreme luck and possible plot devices (Kuma, the BB Pirates, the ancient robot, etc.). Yeah, the strawhats can just escape, but there will be a "chain of events that'll shock the world" in the next 24 hours in Egghead, according to chapter #1078. What could it be? Does a "failure" is enough for him to be "demoted" or a Gorosei has to die to be replaced?

I think it's a possibility. Obviously Saturn is getting hyped up a fair bit right now, but my gut is currently leaning towards the Egghead Incident being something that effectively amounts to a sizable loss to the World Government and the defeat or death of a Gorosei would certainly constitute that.

I don’t think the gorosei get replaced at all especially seeing how they’re hinted at being immortal with Saturn looking exactly the same in the flashback.

The shichibukai have always been replaceable, yonkou replaceable, gorosei? Nah they’ve been rulers of the world forever. I do think they’ll get taken out one at a time though

This is literally not true lol literally everyone in the entire story has noted the gorosei are the authority over the world

True, however I do wonder if there's a particular reason as to why Shepherd Ju Peter looks so much younger than the other Gorosei. Obviously he could have just been younger than the rest of them during the Void Century when they all became immortal, but I could also see the possibility that he was a later addition to their ranks for whatever reason.

If that does end up being the case, then it wouldn't be entirely unthinkable that Garling might be added in as a new member of the Gorosei.

If Saturn dies, Kizaru and the entire fleet will probably go down too. That would be EXTREMELY shocking.

Well, the seemingly younger Gorosei (Jupiter) and the one who looks like Gorbachev (Warcury) seem to be ignorant of some of the WG things (Jupiter didn't know, for example, why the Hito Hito no Mi: Model Nika had its name changed and Warcury said that the fruit was just a legend). They may age slower, but I don't think they're immortal.

Doubt it. Saturn will be stalled by the giant robot but not killed. Barring Blackbeard literally being on the island himself and double-teaming Saturn with Luffy I see no scenario where Saturn dies this arc.

I don't see it happening but I would like it. Much more fun when the antagonists also are dynamic. And that would make Lucci a candidate in 30-40 years time as well, he is already well regarded within the WG and is only 30 years old. Much room to develop.

Like many I believe the Gorosei have had Ope Ope used on them. But for some reason none of them are in their youthful primes.

One thing I think might happen is forcing Bonney to de-age them to their primes, we already saw a glimpse in 1095 with young Garling. It could perhaps be used with a time limit. It doesn't make any sense other wise why the WG are so obsessed with her if she wasn't their trumph card for this reason.

When Crocodile called Whitebeard weak he had an inner monologue "Give me a break. I can't stay the strongest forever". Through Ope + Bonney the Gorosei (and maybe Garling) actually could stay the strongest forever.

Goroseis are definately above Yonko level even he berates Kizaru. Oda will definately save him for end game .

He will be shown in same panel as Imu when its revealed.

I think Garling will be Admiral level at least dont think he is powerful than Akainu .

Could be, but its possible they only allow Ope immortals and he might be waiting on the line if someone steals Ope for him, so if thats the rule to join Gorosei, he might not join.

He's a Celestrial Dragon and at the top of WG. Someone like that getting killed and an admiral also dying alongside him instead of defending Saturn is a shocker.
