What if Shueisha is encouraging Oda to take these breaks so that they can prolong the inevitable ending of OP and milk as much cash as they physically can out of it.

We’ve seen something similar in the anime industry. How Attack on titan keeps breaking up the “final season” into more and more parts. Or how in Naruto there was a giant filler arc inserted in the middle of the last arc.

What if Shueisha is doing something similar with their biggest cash cow.

The story has years to go without breaks so im not seeing the point of this lol

Nah. The reason for the breaks is oda losing interest. He made a huge mistake. He wants Zoro to be the strongest in the crew but whoever is the strongest is also the most popular. And he wants Luffy to be the most popular as it would be a huge failure for him if he fails to make him the most popular. So now, hes facing a dilemma. It's zoros dream to be the best fighter so it follows that he would be the strongest eos and the most popular.

A while back someone created "head canons". Some of those "head canons" have come true, others have been debunked.

There are those that believe that they are just head canons (or theories if you want) and there are those that believe that what we got was drafts of the script. As the head canons are public but the manga is yet to be drawn the team can of course alter the script but all in all I'm one of those that believe we might actually have read early scripts, so called "head canons".

Yes.
There is a post on Reddit that has summed it all up. Can't copy paste on my phone. But among other things Bonney, Kuma, Vegapunk, Egghead connection and details.

Perhaps it's all gibberish, maybe even ChatGPT content, but at the moment it looks to me like he has/had access to drafts as the head canons were published way ahead of manga being drawn

I do not know how it is possible for anyone to get Oda’s drafts.

I’m fairly certain that the only people who could possibly have access to that are 1)Oda himself, 2) the editors, and 3) maybe Oda’s assistants.

Basically, people who would ruin their careers if they leaked the story

Perhaps one, two or three of those mentioned have been let go. By using a pseudonym and different facts that different people got access to it's impossible to pin down to one specific person.

Or the more reasonable guess that Oda simply worked too much in the past and does not want to spend every waking hour on this manga and instead spend some time with his family and kid.
You know, like any sane human would.
