Well, maybe, but until then that is what the manga shows.

Anyway, I am just pointing out the obvious: in the manga it was colored black.

If u think that way then there is a possibility Oda might change it, remember Katakuri when he first came out Oda said he was a Logia, and then after long chapter he changed it into Special Paramecia. Everything can Change. And what would happen if Oda colored it into White? then what u gonna do after debating and being rude to people that argue with u?
