There are Dozens of Characters who have Top Sword-Styles like Mihawk's, but He is only one whose Style cannot be Countered

Surpassing WB required someone who did the Impossible by having Two DFs (Historically never Happened, for at least 800 Years)
Surpassing Kaidou required someone who did the Impossible by Awakening Nika DF (Historically never Happened, for at least 800 Years)
Surpassing Mihawk requires Zoro to do an Impossible Feat that was never witnessed in at least 800 Years

And coming to your question about Mihawk specifically, it's as i said above, They all Failed to prove that Mihawk doesn't deserve his Title, instead of saying "Mihawk didn't Defeat this & that & that", it's the opposite, Mihawk's Title signifies that the World didn't see anything from Shanks or Oden or Fujitora or any Knight or any Samurai or any Pirate that makes them Claim this Person deserves Title more than Mihawk

And Shanks is biggest Candidate who Hypes Mihawk, even if They never fought, cuz Shanks is Extremely Famous, if the World didn't acknowledge his Power, They wouldn't call him an Emperor, They wouldn't give him 4B Bounty, They wouldn't be scared of him, Kaidou wouldn't put him in his Top 5 He ever Faced ... etc

Despite all this, Shanks was simply not given such Title, and Brannew even confirmed it

Yup.
Branew is informing MARINES not the outside world no need for cope of propaganda he is preparing the soldiers on who they are going after.
And he tells them this man with a sword is EVEN superior to yonko red hair

I think he made an alliance with Shanks and defeated with him a previous unknown yonku. This yonku propably was the previous WSS. Shanks became a yonku because of his crew and Mihawk became the strongest swordman (his blade turned to black).

If the theory of him being related to Imu is true then it explains why his backstory hasn't been revealed yet, it's pretty telling he's the only OG warlord left who is still a mysteryy now that Kuma has been revealed. I think it will be revealed when we get to Imu's story.

I suggested the idea of Giving a Prologue Movie to one Piece of Mihawk and Zoro.

No spoilers , Pure flashback and Fight as well.
Going deep into both Mihawk and Zoro Character.

They ain’t that important to have their own movie. Expect an SBS flash back and a 10 to to 15 chapters dedicated to their fight.

You said it, a spin off. Even fucking Sanji got one made for him and Dead Ace. That’s as far as they go. A spin off easy to make in a break week. However, a fucking movie? There are far better and more interesting things to make a movie about and it sells off. That’s the issue when you think a secondary character is the MC somehow.

I suppose he beat a couple of strong vice admirals,strong grand line veterans,rivaled shanks for some time and than took down whoever was considered the WSS at the time.
