Chapter Discussion Where are the admirals on Good Valley?

Why there aren't admirals?

Is Zephyr canon ?

I'm not sure Marines had another top tier alongside Kong Sengoku Garp.
Maybe i'm willing to assume there was 1 more Admiral besides Sengoku, but 2 ? Nope. Garp was basically one of the Admirals, so just another top-tier would've been enough to make it the 3 Admirals.
I think Zephyr is in the same boat as Uta where his backstory (famous guy who trained loads of currently high ranking Marines) is canon but nothing else is.

After seeing Kizaru overwhelm old Rayleigh in swordsmanship and Kuzan punching it out with a Garp, I ain't sure about that one chief.

Even Fujitora had no problems dealing Sabo's attacks, without even using hardening.
Garp had to use ice glove to match a 78 year old man LMAO.

Meaning his fists with just haki is way weaker than Garps.

And no. Kizaru did not overwhelm Rayleigh. They were even.

Ice glow would just do more damage, it wouldn't increase his Haki or how far he sends Garp.
That still doesn't change the fact that he can punch on equal terms with Garp.

And "way weaker", really? Because of a single glove? Let's be serious.

Rayleigh was panting, so he was clearly exerting himself more at the moment. He also seemed to be on the backfoot sometimes, as Oda drew them similarly to King pushing Zoro back.

He can't punch on equal terms. That's literally the point of ice glove.

A 78 year old man can overpower fruitless Kuzan with ease.

Let's be honest here.

They called Garp there and called it a day.

From the OP world point of view Oda can tell us the marines didn't know such an incident was going to happen, Garp was the closest one and the only one who could get there on time and other excuses.

From the story point of view this God valley incident is the gathering of the strongest, Oda could have thrown in admirals just like Roger had his crew and Xebec also had his monster underlings.. but on one hand I guess that Garp and Sengoku had a relationship as equals (even if Garp is stronger) on the other Oda had to invent new old admirals just to be mid tiers in God valley, characters with less to no value we were never going to see again (a bit like Kong with the difference that actually Kong has a bit of hype). There is already a lot of people there now (Saturn, Garling, other holy knights..) so no need to put in random admirals as well.

Why Kong didn't send any admiral (where is Sengoku?:suresure:) and whether he sent Vice Admiral Garp and Bogard against the Xebec and Roger Pirates. It is because admirals don't have adv coc and for that they couldn't defeat Top tiers:milaugh::milaugh::milaugh:

God Valley was a representation of the TRUE and REAL top tiers of One Piece.

We have Roger, who we all very well know was Pirate King! That's basically top of the world. At least those will be the expectations from the reader when they see the title Pirate King.
We have Roger's rival and the most feared pirate crew in history: Rocks Pirates which includes the big Emperors the WG were afraid of, such as Whitebeard, Kaido and Big Mom.
Stussy turned into an old hag, they all aged, they are not at the full strength, but it's clear their mere presence in their prime alone would kill a shitty little admiral and the fanbase along with it.

Then we have GARP! He wasn't hyped for nothing. He is the man that refused multiple promotions. He's way above the rest of the admirals. They had to gang up on him and he still laughed - he will get up in 10 seconds obviously according to LadmiraL headcanon.

Then we have other big names such as Garling, Shanks own dad, the father of an Emperor that can annihilate an entire pirate crew in one strike.

The biggest threat is Saturn! That guy is still being downplayed by admiraltards, but he's absolutely insanely strong.
He could be a literal demon. Did everyone forget the cult that thought they were summoning Brook? The practice is very real in the world of One Piece. It's not clear if and how this was done in the past. However if Saturn isn't simply a big power house eclipsing the little admiral shits then he is an actual demon and it's uncertain how he can be killed with instant recovery.

There's no room for little shitstains in there. That's why the admiral wank wasn't in the chapter. Oda had to make it clear who the big players are.
We had the kids in there as a way to show the future big players. Ivankov and Kuma. Ivankov might have powers we haven't fully seen yet.
Ginny is foreshadowing something about Bonney perhaps. Will see. Bonney isn't awakened yet, there's a chance though.

What do you think ice gloves exactly adds to the punch?

We see Haki dome and it is a proper hemisphere. One side isn't bigger than the other, no part is sticking out, there is nothing inidicating one of theirs Haki is stronger than the other one's.

And we have a flashback in which Kuzan's physical punches are shown to create similar impact to Garp's (from his late 40s/early 50s to his early/mid 60s), so it would make no sense for 78 year old Garp to have superior punching strength to Kuzan.
How would ice glove even increase THE FORCE of the punch?

Again, based on contextual evidence, Kuzan's Haki and physical strength are no weaker than old Garp's (at least in the moment of their clash) and ice glove wouldn't increase Haki nor force of the punch, just the damage it deals.

Ah look the average Garp downplayer. Downplaying admirals, then being hypocritical because of their favourites.

You're overthinking it.

Kuzan can only match a 78 year old because he used his df powers. That's pretty embarrassing considering the raws indicate how Garp thinks his power has "greatly weakened" not that he mere "lost his edge"

If you wanna believe a small ice glove (which was barely shown on one panel, unlike the effects of their Haki strikes which were focused on) made Kuzan's punch much stronger, in ways that are logically incoherent, then I can't really say anything to you.

Agree to disagree.

I don't think they were even marines yet when the incident happened
:choppawhat:

Though maybe we'll find out about the admirals before them when we get the full view of the God Valley Incident

I believe it’s only Garp (honorary) and Sengoku, a two admiral system where they were holding the seat for Garp. I’d wager just like they never send multiple admirals to one place they’re doing the same here, can’t waste all their man power.

I think Zephyr is in the same boat as Uta where his backstory (famous guy who trained loads of currently high ranking Marines) is canon but nothing else is.
Even considering his full story to be canon, he became an admiral at 38 years old, a few years after the God Valley's Incident (he was 74 when he died, the admiral promotion happened 36 years before the current times)... so, chances of him being in God Valley are slim, even though he had already mastered haki at age 34 (it'd be cool if he had a cameo though).

The admirals rely heavily on Devil Fruits, which is why they are slightly above YC1 (Yonko Commander Level 1). None of them have Conqueror's Haki, and they are not strong enough to be in God Valley.
Delusional, every time yonko commanders dared to foght admirals they were HUMILIATED.

Uta's sillhouette appeared at the top left part of the last page on shanks neg diffing greenbull chapter.

They don't need to send the Goats to deal with the peasants.
Do Admiral fans not find it concerning that Oda is willing to introduce a ton of ancillary Rocks/Roger era pirates like Silver Axe, but cares so little about Sengoku’s Admiral peers that he hasn’t alluded to them a single time in the story?

The World doesn't stop during every major event. The Admirals have their positions to play. Just because God Valley was happening, doesn't mean there weren't other things going on in the World that needed attention.
