I think a lot of people boycotted it because of what the Harry Potter author said

That’s absolute trash if that’s the case. The game is so good and has so much work out into it.

I don’t get the reference you’re trying to make but if you mean the symbiote which gives Spider-Man extra abilities, then that’s quite a dumb argument because it’s lore accurate

If you’re referring to the Web suits then go cry to the 1st original comics where Spider-Man indeed wore one

And lastly, if you’re referring to Miles Morales’ spider abilities then that is also a redundant argument. Miles’ spider is different from Peter’s. It grants him venom abilities and invisibility

And if you’re crying about the doc-oct extra arms thing then what do you want? Lol, the game to be identical to the last? They have to change up gameplay somehow. Those extra arms are actually a genius idea because it’s a realistically smart addition considering the fact peter worked under otto last game and perfected his invention+its a reference to superior spider-man (Who is otto’s consciousness imbedded within Peter’s body)

None of that, I’m referring to the web-slinging in the new games being trash. There is no gravity, Spider-Man just zips through the air without his webs actually being attached to anything. It’s not web-slinging, it’s flying with web-slinging animations.

A Spider-Man game where the laws of gravity aren’t respected or obeyed isn’t a Spider-Man game.

Alan Wake II is a artistically unique game, I can see why it got nominated, I plan to play it soon
