Also, they won't outright tell you if your ancestor was indigenous to the land. What they do is confirming possible genetic link with a jew

You should have been more precise. DNA testing with a company is not illegal in Israel

Honestly the idea that Jews are inherently indigenous to Palestine, no matter where they are actually from, is honestly racist.

It’s literally the logic antisemites used when they unjustly expelled Jews from their lands in Europe.

Zionism seems to affirm this racism saying that yes, European Jews really don’t belong in Europe, let’s go “back to Israel”.

The cultures of various Jewish groups are more similar to the cultures of the places their ancestors lived for centuries pre-Zionism, than it is to the culture in Palestine itself.

The major Jewish groups in Europe were ashkenazim and Sephardim

Ashkenaz literally means Germany
Sephard literally means spain

Ashkenazi Jews spoke Yiddish, a dialect of German
Sephardi Jews spoke ladino, a dialect of Spanish

I think it’s great too. It makes learning Hebrew have an actual practical value outside of prayer.

but It’s so cynical when zionists claim that Jews are the real indigenous people of Palestine and that Palestinians are the real colonizers, when their grandparents literally spoke German.

What isn’t as known is that they had to use the Classical Arabic from the Quran (particularly the case system known as i’rab) to revive the Hebrew language and they still mispronounce certain letters. And what’s funnier is that the Arabs living in Palestine and in the Middle East are far more semitic than these European Ashkenazis and others who love to employ the antisemitism label. In the end it’s just one of many of their shaming tactics, except it couldn’t be more ironic here.

antisemitism is a label specifically aimed at discrimination towards jews, not all semitic people

I know what they say it is but the actual meaning of the word semite just makes it all the more ironic when it’s being hurled at other Semites who actually got the deeper roots vs the people employing the term. Even if we look at the word Jew which comes from Yehudi meaning Judah, they still don’t fully live up to that either since not all of them are even from tribe of Judah. Everything be hitting them Zionists back in the face lol.

Not to get too technical in an anime forum, but the reason why is because German and French employ the same sound as the letter kha in Arabic and Hebrew has the same but where modern Hebrew mispronounces certain letters is when it comes to the ha (the letter preceding kha) and they pronounce the letter ha as kha when it should be the other way around. That’s why it sounds like German.

eh most dna studies have shown ashkenazi and sephardic jews have traces back to the region. i once saw putting them there as far back as 600 bce

They do. But genetic studies also show that a lot of Arabs living in Palestine and Arab Jews also share the same genetic roots, essentially blowing the antisemite label totally out of the water. Askhenazi Jews are like 80% European in comparison. Really goes to show how ironic it all is.
