It's almost like people don't see the bigger picture.

"Dragon didn't save Ginny."

Yet Dragon is trying to make sure that when he finally takes action, he saves ALL the slaves on Mariejois, who have been kidnapped, tortured, raped... etc..etc...

But the people on the forums, only give a shit about Ginny, and fuck all the other slaves who've been kidnapped by the Celestial Dragons throughout the years.
They caught ginny slipping

Yeah but like if he doesn't have to intervene personally, why can't he just be replaced by another good tactician? Thats much easier than becoming a top tier like Kaido/Sengoku.

What makes him so much more special than Ginny, Kuma or Sabo?
Look what happened to the Whitebeard Pirates when they went to war with just a division of the World Governments military might, in order to save one subordinate. They lost countless members, their leader lost his life, and the person they tried to save lost his life. Afterwards the crew could not maintain itself without Whitebeard as the leader. They launched one last revenge mission, and the crew was decimated.

Without Whitebeard, an established crew that had been family for decades could not be kept held together.

The Revolutionary Army is not a family like the Whitebeard pirates. The people who serve all rally under Dragons cause. It's hard to establish a reputation that has drawn so many people to his side. None of the Commanders who could assume that position hold such prestige that would rally people to thier side. Dragon spent decades building that up. There is not a single person in the Revolutionaries who would be able to step in, in the event that something happened to Dragon, and be able to hold together the revos. They don't have that noteriety. The most hardcore followers will stay. Everyone else will not.

Then it's a new cycle of spending years trying to build up the new leaders reputation and recruiting people. How long would that take? Another 20 years? What happens if one of their members get captured? The new leader now goes to war over a single person, and they lose there life? Now back to square one. Another new leader. Another 20+ years... Rinse and repeat until the Revolutionaries are no more.

Well, he didn't save all the slaves on Mary Geoise, as that would require the Revolutionary Army to raid every Celestial Dragon's household for this to be a reality, which obviously didn't happen. And unlike the rest of the slaves, Ginny was a high-ranking officer of the Revolutionaries who had a skill set vital for a rebellion faction, served as high morale for the Revolutionaries' best commander, and had vital information on the Revolutionaries that if the World Government had two brain cells, they would have interrogated her, and that could spell the end of the Revolutionary Army as a whole. Would Ginny actually talk? Who knows, but if Dragon's as pragmatic as y'all say he is, then he wouldn't leave it up to chance.

Kaido, Whitebeard, and Sengoku all actually do things though, and protect their subordinates. Dragon let most of his top brass get swept away without much fuss and wrote them off as lost causes quickly. His strategy makes him especially replaceable actually, since his role requires little personal strength. Anyone with the brains could do his job, few can do Kaidos/Whitebeards/Sengokus.

They'd do the same they had been doing until then, gathering forces and training new members. In fact, one of the new members (Sabo) was the one to declare war on Dragons behalf.
Kaido and WB not protect there subordinates they lead them to war where hundreds of them died same for sengoku .
In flash back Dragon also use to be attack countries but that change as group get bigger .
When did dragon let most top brass get sweep away , like Ivan in prison saying he just waiting on dragon word to leave .
If you don't think Dragon is top tier and that one reason revs get so big i don't what to tell you .

The revs try to go to holy land all those years ago without current members they will get destroy even now they get destroy .
When we see how much power the CD them self have even without the marines.
Hell back then they were piggy back off other forces.
Even with there current member is was with a quick hit and leave and even had fuji fucking around help them .

For a man trying to save everyone, what does it look like to the people if he only takes action when something happens to one of his own? That's what pirates do.

Whose going to believe the Revolutionaries are fighting for the people, if the only people he personally saves are his own? His reputation would be destroyed, and nobody is going to believe anything he says. The revolution is over before it can even begin.

Japanese readers don't seem very fond of this arc either judging by declines in sales wano ending up as pile of trash played some role too most likely :specialmeh:
This definitely has to do with his release schedule this year too. The series barely gets 2 chapters a month nowadays. It might be trending back to 3, but we are like 10 chapters less than normal already.
