So in what alternate future does she gain body/size changing powers other than one where she gets a different devil fruit?

In this alt-future her dad was a giant and she only got one giant arm from it? She just do curls with that hand forever? She does the blackbeard method to get the Nika fruit?

I get she's "like" nika, but how does that translate into her getting new super powers if she has no feasible alternate self that could do so without breaking the one devil fruit rule.

Or what if, this might be an unpopular opinion, Zoro and Mihawk are about to clash in Laugh Tale, Shiryu tries to do his dirty sneak attack trick on Zoro again but Zoro easily one shots him before facing Mihawk, dropping some line like "I can't deal with small fry like you. This is problematic because it means BB also gets cucked, which i don't see happening.

I believe Luffy will need to beat BB, while his crewmates beat BB's crewmates.
BB will definitely get one arc for him, while Mihawk can even be a post-World Government fight for Zoro alone - if Cross Guild is an ally in the Final War.

Yes, Shiryu might have some more skills than expected but he's ultimately another gimmick fighter who will pressure Zoro bcoz of his gimmick for a few minutes. Zoro finds this out and one shots Shiryu anyway. Maybe my expectations are just that low but I can't possibly imagine how a simple invisibility ability makes Shiryu jump between tiers to match Zoro. Heck, I can already see current Zoro beating Shiryu or I'm simply underestimating him. But with Mihawk? There's no gimmick, just pure Haki + skills.

Shiryu has been hyped & separated from other YCs even during the Garp/SWORD incident, but i agree with you in thinking that he might be another Gimmick Fight.

If he cannot weaponize CoC & is just an "Hide & Seek" merchant - then there's no point in treating him as anything beyond Zoro's CoO training tool.

Okay, I know this is more than just farfetched but Zoro can't struggle against fucking Shiryu and then defeat someone stronger than Shanks in a single arc. Either Zoro struggles against Shiryu in Laugh Tale and defeats Mihawk in the final war (again, Cross Guild exists for a reason) or Shiryu will simply be wasted if Zoro also fights Mihawk in the same arc. BBP sure will be beaten in Laugh Tale, as well as Cross Guild and RHP. Or the entire war happens before strawhats reach Laugh Tale. Basically a pure battle royale. Maybe the navy will participate too (real low chance Akainu just sits on his chair and waits until the entire EoS alliance raids his HQ without doing anthing LMAO).

I agree, i don't believe that Zoro will fight Shiryu & Mihawk in the same arc either.
Probably add an Admiral in between them, if we're lucky even a Gorosei before Mihawk is dealt with.

I'm already tired of making excuses for Dragon and waiting for him to do something crazy in terms of power levels to make up for all the time he spent hibernating in this manga without doing absolutely anything. Yes, Shiryu might have some more skills than expected but he's ultimately another gimmick fighter who will pressure Zoro bcoz of his gimmick for a few minutes. I am getting the feeling she hasnt done anything truly noteworthy as a pirate in comparison to Kidd or Capone. Her crew are the village folk, they clearly arent fighters.

Was Sabaody Bonney not just her in story debut but basically like among her first stops after heading out to sea?

Everything feels cheaper and non earned, luffy went from a chosen one with a shit fruit who worked hard and had tons of luck to a chosen one carried by his god fruit.

I thought using Nika as a way to enable a form as cool and powerful as G5 was based. I thought the WG not being on his ass 24/7 was awfully convenient, but having Kuma know about the Nika/Luffy THE WHOLE TIME!?

I could fucking believe that he was a bastard child with an unknown father being able to slip by via constant traveling and unexpected strength... with Marineford being the time the information was leaked. But since god knows when the WG has had knowledge of his existence and general location. Seriously, why didn't get get an egghead level block spin at some point?

Also, I believe you are right about Shiryu, but I think he'd do much better than Vista against Mihawk (still losing the match up though).

We've been told every single pirate starts at reverse mountain from whichever Blue they begin with.

Bonney had to go through Paradise to reach Sabaody.

A lot of the high bounty pirates have been active for decades, and any pirate they washed has been sitting in Impel Down or does not interact with the world at large anymore (making it hard to contextualize their feats). Luffy got covered up for crocodile and only got cred for Moriah.

But not having AT LEAST 500 million after hogging the spot light at Marineford?!?!? The reveal of his dad?!?!? Punching Charlos?!?! A mere 100 million boost?!

Like the prior shit they did looks 1000 times worse now that it looks like he's gunning for the WG directly (which most pirates actively avoid).
