Although Yamato had a fair bit of focus in her arc, she had a forced introduction and appeared out of nowhere in the climax of the arc.
Bonney on the other hand was introduced ages ago and had a solid build up. Now she even has a whole arc for herself with the most panel time.

Bonney is 99% confirmed to join. The other 1% chance being that she is Tra-guy 2.0 :lawsigh:

I think what seals the deal for me is that it’s very rare for non-Strawhats to get backstories this in-depth. The only exceptions that come to mind are Law and Oden. And in Law's case he may as well be an honorary Strawhat at this point, and in Oden's case there was a ton of plotlines, lore reveals, etc going on whereas this flashback seems way more focused on the personal story between Kuma, Ginny, and Bonney,

True tho at least law had further impact on the story the senior pink flashback was the most random flashback
