Speculations Why do you believe Kaido and Big Mom is dead?

Anyone who disagrees with this, please explain your reasons. Here is why I believe they're still alive and will play a role in assisting the Straw Hats in the final war against the main antagonist. If Impel Down and Dressrosa taught us anything, Luffy doesn't care who helps him as long as they help him get what he wants.

Charles Linlin is alive because she clearly has a history with the Giants so her backstory will be fully revealed when she will be in Elbaf arc to make amends with them and fight one of the Gorosei. Not to mention the fact that her soul Zeus is alive and living with Nami.

As for Kaido, if he survived from sentencing to death 40 times that caused spears to crumble and guillotines to break and trying to commit suicide by jumping off from the sky then he is alive. Lava would mean nothing for a dragon that breath magma.

Kaido's backstory will be fully revealed Xebec's arc because he was his mentor which is why it's incomplete. I believe he learned Joyboy and the extinct Oni tribe from Xebec and why he was behaving like this which will be the turning point for us to have soft spot for him. That's why he was obsessed with the final war and Joyboy candidates (Oden, Momo, probably Ace and Luffy).

They got submerged in magma. We see them drown. Even if they had the durability to withstand magma(they don't btw), they're still IN magma. They have to breath and eat and stuff to stay alive. A person full of magma inside them is a dead person.


Their story is done. We don't need them anymore. The op story is still packed with characters and plot. No need to bring two defeated yonko back from dead to add to all that and waste more chapters, panels and time.

Kaido's story is pretty much done. He was an big arc antagonist of the biggest arc yet. Other than his FB it was pretty satisfying I will say.

BM on the other hand can come back but at this point she won't be a major villain.

currently , No yonkou Matches up to Kaidou , Admiral are generally weaker than yonkou.
no literally no one. even as a zoro wanker , I can't say if Zoro actually fight kaidou he can fight someone else after that.
same goes for luffy.

and for bigmam , I expect her to return but with change in mentality , it would be understandable if she doesn't wanna fight in the final war.
Because her ultimate dream is Utopia where every species can live together , pirate king is really a side quest to her or a way to achieve this goal.

but kaidou was more into throwing the world into total chaos. and biggest war was bro dream lol.

On one side, their end is a mystery and both have the potential to show more.
RinRin, for example, could tie into being an adopted child while her real parents are a Giant and a Buccaneer.
That would explain her ridiculous raw strength and would connect to the plotlines in Elbaf.

Kaido has never Awakened and he longed for death which, according to Luffy's case, is tied to the mythical Zoan awakening.
However, he has shown way too much to get significant spotlight again so I guess, if he does show up again, he will be used as someone's hype tool.

On the other side, Oda has spent way too much time on the two of them and to wrap things up, he needs to start dealing with those who are left. That's why they could either be dead or retired somewhere, not participating in big events anymore. Whichever way he chooses to go, he certainly has choices as he didnt make anything definitive.

The only actual death we've seen always happen to be in an overly dramatic way. Roger, Bellemere, Whitebeard, Rosinate, Oden, Cobra, Noland, Otohime, Clover, Olvia, Pedro, Ashura and Ginny's death were over the top dramatic.

Compared to Big Mom and Kaido, it looks like they were just like other defeated pirates that got beaten up and some that showed up later on. There were no dramatic effect when they were about to lose.

We haven't seen what the Gorosei and God Knights are capable of.

If Saint Garling gave Whitebeard a deep scar and Big Mom dueled with Saturn to save the kids in God Valley before she escaped with Kaido then you can absolutely be sure they're OP as hell.

That's why admirals are slowly redeeming themselves and former warlords are joining Cross Guild who will be on front lines in the final war. It would make sense for them to be on Straw Hats side since they're capable of facing them because Luffy and Zoro won't be enough.

I mean Kaido really has no further plot mileage left so him dying is fine. We’ll definitely get more on his character through the lens of other characters the same we did for Arlong. Big Mom definitely feels like she has more to add to the story with the Giants. Basically if they’re dead that’s fine, but if they’re not I’d prefer for just Big Mom to return.

The reason they were removed is due to plot i agree Big mom and Kaido are too big of a threat i think they will be away untill Final war where luffy will want to fight WG maybe they will comeout when Gates of wano is opened .

Even if they comeout what s the purpose of them will they join Luffy to remove Imu or just stand in his way maybe better to keep them dead as they serve no real purpose in end game .

I do think they are alive or at the very least kaido is as he can coat himself in magma doesn't make sense heddie to it. I don't think they should come back as the story lines for them are all done and there is really nothing for them to do but get revenge on luffy. BM doesn't need to be a big antagonist for a third time and kaido has lost everything and doesn't need to randomly just show back up. The only thing they'd have going for them is showing up in the final qar somehow. Even then oda would have to assign someone to beat them which there isn't enough characters strong enough for luffy to beat the wg with kaido and bm.

They are Dragon's real enemy not Marines . Admirals were never his target you cant say God Knight > Admiral based on single panel .
