I'm emotionally invested in kuma as a character and I think the flashback has done a great job at providing further context to the current events in egghead island. I understand why people think it's overstayed its welcome (these last couple of chapters have been a little slow) but so far this arc hasn't disappointed. I care for Kuma and Bonney way more than the scabbards or even oden.

Tbf this arc's Scabbards aren't Kuma and Bonney, they're the Vegapunk satellites, and I gotta say both are almost equally dog shit, only advantage the Scabbards have are Neko and Inu having better designs.
