The breaks were a major factor sure, but 3 months of no agenda piece was rough :kobeha:

Certain users conveniently requesting bans "for school". Certain fandoms avoiding the flashback chapter threads until a certain someone started twerking to some nika, exposed the highlight of this forums problem imo. And it's sad :ronalugh:
Yeah, it’s kinda disappointing a lot of people can’t just like the story. And last chapter being arguably one of the best of the year the fact that a good amount of the discussion people are having over it is one quote because of agendas, is really sad.

I really find it funny that they never have problems with school/work until the time when their agendas start failing lol
Jokes on you, I’m always having trouble with work

What's your job again? I think you told me once before but I don't remember at all.

The manga has been aight. The anime is well animated, but I already read the manga, so I only watched the fights. Live Action is dogshit, and I've been pretty vocal about that opinion. Loved seeing a Luffy balloon in the Macy's parade, even if his hat was deflated. All in all, a pretty good year for the franchise, but I personally didn't really resonate with it this year.

This is what I remember for OP in 2023, overhall the story is ok, nothing that exiting, the art is getting worst though
no...post operation art is good but nontheless it was not peak Oda art.....

on topic, breaks ruined the flow however people who read back to back chapters will definitely enjoy the content...people who follow on weekly basis remember only breaks....

when I was getting bored of egghead with the seraphims plots oda change it outside the world don't know why he did that but he cooked because it felt like op old days I really enjoyed those chapters Shanks swordmanship more of garp BBP powers CG real target what happened in the reverie Imu talking for the first time gorosei real forms and powers sabo at the pinnacle of the world Teacher vs student in hachinosu then we got back in egghead wich got more interesting with kizaru sentomaru and saturn and it ended with kuma flashback eventhough it was a little long I really enjoyed it and some revelations were goated and imo the saddest of all the series
Won't say it was perfect but Overall a really good year of One piece knowing that 2022 was trash with wano ending :pepelit:

Understandable. Try disconnecting from fandom discussions, take a break from the manga for a few weeks and binge read/watch.
That seems like a good idea. I did that in the past when Zou started, and I binge watched all of it and Whole Cake Island, which got me back into the series. I just don't want to miss any major plot twists, but it doesn't feel the same anymore reading weekly. Like the magic of One Piece is lost on me now. Also doesn't help that I quit smoking weed, so almost everything is boring to me now.

Probably the best year for One Piece in a long, long time.

I think the only big complaint with the manga is the amount of breaks. Egghead‘s been great, and the trips outside Egghead to show the rest of the world has been a nice move.

The anime is staying pretty strong, potentially being the best version of Wano? It’s came a long way since the shitshow that was Dressrosa at any rate. I’m still not a massive fan of how over the top it is, but my opinion is clearly not the mainstream opinion.

The Netflix series was actually a) good and b) successful, which was a massive surprise.

When’s the last year that was as good as this?
