Oda is not even focussing on the fight between Zoro and Lucci, because it is not that important to him. We will have a plot twist in the near future ("[...] unexpected results [...]" as it was mentioned), initiated by the fight between that person and that person, as Oda said in his Festa letter this year.

After this plot-twist, we can again talk about who is going to fight who. And at the moment this is why I am already looking over to the 9 VAs, just waiting for their opponents. If Luffy or someone else does not Blueno one of them, all of the SHPs might get a fight against one of them.

Zoro's opponent this arc might be a VA.

Zoro vs Lucci is a filler/fanservice fight

The main plot of this arc is clearly focusing on the Bonney/Kuma/Vegapunk/Saturn story.

I don’t know why but after what the anime did with Rayleigh against BB, I kinda have the feeling that this might be a sign for zoro to prove absolute dominance with conquerors haki and ends the fight with lucci.

Lucci isn’t the main fight for zoro. In my opinion he will team up with luffy to fight Kizaru and Saturn.

Lucci is only a warm up. Prove me wrong.

Zoro gonna flex his CoC like Rayleigh and Shanks.

If Zoro uses his CoC now Saturn will be knocked out without even seeing Zoro.

Lucci was probably the excuse to separate Zoro from the crew so that when the situation went south with Saturn and Luffy was out of commission nobody was up to the task (fight Saturn) so that we can get the Bonney and maybe Kuma drama eventually.

There are 2 scenarios for this fight :
1. They will have entire chapter dedicated to their fight with a winner.
2. Fight will be shown off screen with Oda showing only final attack of winner.

Just flames like against Lucci (high CoA)
Just ACoC like Bird Dance against King (ACoC)
KoH like KoH Onigiri (high COA and ACoC)
KoH 3 Dragon Swords like Dragon Damnation (overflow COA and ACOC)

Oda is playing a stalling game with Zoro. Zoro won't be used vs saturn and kizaru, until all the players that are supposed to be on Egghead Island, arrive there. So we just have to wait

Hold up. Some are claiming Zoro took a L when he hasn't used KoH or a name attacks. Yet, they claim the opposite for Luffy who used G5, his strongest mode, name attacks and still couldn't take out Lucci.

But add in the fact that lucci hasnt used named attacks either. Or that he hasn't used rokushiki techniques. Not a good look for enma jr.

Now add the fact Lucci is using his strongest mode, DF awakening, and can't blitz or overpower Zoro. The same mode that clash evenly against Luffy. In the last chapter we saw then fighting Zoro was only using 2 swords. Zoro is doing very well against Lucci.
