Amazing how Kuma’s punch on Saturn is a billion times more cathartic that Luffy’s final punch on Kaido. I don’t think I’ll ever get over how badly that was drawn.
The delay in the punch landing was unnecessary though, I don’t think we needed the reminder of why Kuma hates Saturn.
I don’t think there’s much to get carried away with powerscaling wise, Kuma’s lifetime of hatred punch was always going to fuck Saturn up if it connected, which it did. And Saturn still looks fine because he can recover damage so easily, so who cares if it hits. First time Kuma’s thrown a punch in the series as well that I can remember, so extra catharsis.
For Kizaru, he’s obviously still on Saturn’s side- for now. With his thing being Uncertain Justice, I wonder, will he succeed in killing Vegapunk, and then that will be him considering his mission completed and then hold back when it’s time for the rest to escape? I think that’s the most unclear justice we can get, he ends up doing good and bad.
This looks to be us at the peak action wise of the arc, with the super Buster Call started. I think next chapter we’ll see a glimpse of what the others have been doing (maybe the end of Zoro vs Lucci).
Fighting wise, Luffy vs Saturn will happen when he’s back. The rest of the crew taking turns to hold off Kizaru is likely (we might even see Franky get a hit on him, those light gloves from the start of the arc still have to come imto play and they are useless for Haki users).
Kuma will be brought back thanks to his Bucaneer blood, I think that’s clear, so Bonney isn‘t joining. And the Blackbeard Pirates likely are not joining in until the very end, cause that’s kind of their thing.
