Kaido placed Shanks alongside Roger, WB, Xebec, and Oden, the 4 people who have clearly defeated him in the past. If Kaido didn’t place Shanks among them because Shanks defeated him at MF, than why was Shanks placed there? And why weren’t Garp, Sengoku, Shiki, Rayleigh, and BM also placed there?

Mihawk didn't beat Krieg though, and Kaido isn't Krieg, he already admitted that Joyboy would be able to defeat him, why would he lie about Shanks? Better yet, why would King still believe Kaido was the strongest? He went with Kaido to Marineford.

Gin was broken after what Mihawk did to their fleet, Krieg is just delusional thinking that he is the absolute strongest and it further enforced when Krieg refused to acknowledge that Luffy defeated him. Yes Krieg is not Kaido however the point is Oda isn't going to have a villian doubt their strength in a middle of a major fight it will ruin the tension and stakes of it. Also backed up by how Kaido contradicts himself stating how no one can defeat him but then saying that Joyboy can defeat him.

Also with King rhm are extremely loyal and would never doubt their captains and we already have an example of this with Gin who believed Krieg to the strongest and still stayed loyal to him.

These are the people he experienced, He never met Mihawk, probably never fought Ray and Sengoku and maybe he didnt see Garp at all.

Also bear in mind that the context of his claim came after Luffy said he was going to become the King of the Pirate ergo one can also assume he listed only pirates there.

Read my reply to Kinyagi. We literally saw Oden give Kaido an L, and it’s so obvious that Roger, WB, and Xebec also beat Kaido in the past that you’d have to be trolling or mentally retarded to think otherwise

Kaido probably chose them because they left a big impression on him. It was just a passing thought from kaido not like he was sitting there ranking characters but thinking about the level luffy can reach.

In the most conservative estimate, Shanks made a huge impression on Kaido during their encounter pre-Marineford.

About the absence of Garp, Sengoku and Rayleigh, he probably never fought them. Linlin is indeed a big question mark, maybe he considered her like a big sister (or they were lovers, as some people speculate that Katakuri and his brothers are Kaido's sons)? Lastly, Shiki IMO was never on their level to begin with.
