I think it's the reverse. Kaido being all powerful and manly sees his heir as a man whether yamato wants it or not.
Gintama has a similar female character raised in a military/martial family. They raised her as a male since she the heir to that family.
Make sense. But maybe it's both. He raised her as a boy. At first she underestimate every man and samurai. Then after seeing oden she wants to become a man like oden
Yamato is self proclaimed Oden so once she sees Zoro casually using Enma then what? Yamato will act like that Fox and be like give ma sword or be impressed? Or both.
