It's only the entire development that the Kaido fight produces. Kaido is impossible for Nika to beat seriously, no matter how hard he tries. Kaido says that only haki - sheer willpower - will give you the win. But for Nika what finally lets him win is when his voice/will goes out and his fruit awakens, allowing him to fight freely and unburdened by obligations. And in that way, Nika becomes the unstoppable force that moves the immovable object (Kaido) because nothing can stop him from fighting like he wants to.

You guys will purposefully ignore where Oda is taking the story and moan about it because you just want some fantasy about beating up your school bullies with the power of anime. OP is about more than that.

It should also be mention that even before G5 luffy was having fun in that fight , smiling , saying he having fun etc etc etc
With all of what at stake in context of the manga luffy was having fun in that fight .
Plus it not like oda don't have a serious G5 face when he want to because we seen them before.
