And that's the thing. The Joyboy stuff has been completely replaced by the Nika narrative since end of Wano. We don't even hear about Joyboy anymore

Correct me if I'm wrong, its nit just the fact that its replaced totally that odds and disappointing in a sense, but also the fact that Nika doesn't hold substantial reputation like Joy boy as a title does

So it make it seem underwhelming and out of place for Nika to be renowned all of a sudden, when Joyboy could have had a much greater impact

Joy boy holds much more narrative weight and impact than Nika does in comparison throughout the Post TS

May be because Joyboy could be used as a more public profile/alias when Luffy's introduced to the world itself as a reincarnate or whatever.

And Nika being a more personal and secretive name...which has only been used by folks that actually know the lore and stories if I'm not mistaken .. Like the Giants, Kuma's tribe, The 5 elders...and their personal acquaintances.

People have been waiting for Joyboy/Nika for centuries and the Sun God has been mentioned in all of the ancient civilizations, like, Skypiea, Fishmen island and Elbaf. Even the Kozuki and Minks had Sun symbols all around their country.
Government gets anyone who knows about Nika assassinated, that's why only a select few know about it. And since Luffy's bounty poster has Nika form on it, more and more people who knows this myth will recognise it.

Luffy went from being destined to be the greatest pirate like Roger to being a 2nd coming of a legendary ancient warrior into becoming a reincarnation of a deity
He's now just the promised saviour and God that the world has been praying for
