I know it’s hard to compare tragedies but I’d like to try anyways. I’m going to look at two characters who underwent very similar situations. The first character is The Tyrant Bartholomew Kuma.

Kuma has had a pretty shitty life—practically born into slavery, his mother died of a preventable illness, his father was shot dead in front of him, his childhood love was kidnapped, raped and then ditched with an almost incurable disease. To save Ginny’s child he has to join the Shichibukai and commit to having them remove his personality—essentially volunteering to die—to save his daughter.

Pretty tragic.

On the other hand, we have someone who experienced the worst of the world by the time he was a child.

Obito hails from the Uchiha clan though was a notable dud, his parents were long dead by the time we see him in team Minato and he’s been a Shinobi since age 9–Chuunin since age 11. Given that Obito grew up in the time of the third Shinobi world war, it’s very likely that he not only witnessed death first hand but participated in taking lives as young as 9.

Obito would go on to sacrifice his life for his friends and Allie’s, seemingly dying, only to miraculously survive thanks to Madara’s help. Obito would later witness Kakashi killing Rin and have his world completely shattered, remarking that he truly is in hell as he rejects his reality.

So who do you guys think has a more tragic story? imO it’s Obito.

@Roo @Peroroncino @Veku @ConquistadoR @HA001 @Philosoraptor @Bogard @Natalija @Shiroyru

Tbh there’s a likelihood Obito also suffered from the war he was in. He was desensitizedto the act of killing at age 13/14 and was fighting in the war since age 9.

I imagine his mental status was even worse than an ex slaves like Kuma.

I know TAC is a huge Naruto fan but honestly, i Kuma has a much much more tragic life than Obito.

Kuma who is just a slave guy, had He is constantly pursued by a guy who is simply the biggest authority in the world trying in every way to destroy Kuma's life.

Kuma as a child witnessed the death of his mother, the murder of his father and starved himself.

As an adult, Kuma had the only person he had died, his city was constantly oppressed, he took care of a child with a terminal illness, he sacrificed his free will to cure Booney, he became a slave again and then discarded.

Obito lost the love of his life and was manipulated by Madara but it still doesn't come close to what Kuma suffered.

Worst of The World?
Obito experienced nothing, He just wasn't fit for War
He was in the war for 4/5 years under one of the highest profile jonin in Konoha. He more than likely saw his fill way before he witnessed the most traumatic event one could.
